Rules & Regulations
Please review the official rules and guidelines for the GRAMAM Pickleball Tournament. All participants are required to follow these guidelines to ensure a safe, fair, and positive community tournament experience.
- Tournament is open to Gramam members only.
- Players must register before the published registration deadline.
- GRAMAM EC reserve the right to combine categories if participation is insufficient.
- Adult Men Doubles (16+)
- Adult Women Doubles (16+)
- Junior Doubles (Under 16)
- Round Robin
- Top-performing teams advance to playoff rounds.
- Playoffs may include Semifinals, and Finals depending on participation.
League Stage & Quarterfinals
- All League Stage and Quarterfinal matches shall be played as a single game to 15 points.
- A team must win by a minimum margin of two (2) points.
- If the score reaches 14–14, play shall continue until a team leads by two (2) points.
- The game shall be capped at 21 points. If the score reaches 20–20, the next point scored shall determine the winner (first to 21 wins, e.g., 21–20 is a valid score).
Semifinals & Final
- All Semifinal and Final matches shall be played as a Best-of-Three (3) Games format.
- Each game shall be played to 11 points.
- A team must win each game by a minimum margin of two (2) points.
- Play shall continue beyond 11 points until a team gains a two-point advantage, subject to a maximum score of 15 points.
- If the score reaches 14–14, the team winning the next rally (next-point-wins) shall win the game (e.g., 15–14 is a valid score).
- The first team to win two (2) games shall be declared the match winner.
- Standard USA Pickleball rules apply.
- Underhand serves only.
- Double-bounce rule applies.
- Kitchen (Non-Volley Zone) rules apply.
- Players make their own line calls in early rounds.
- If uncertain, the ball is considered IN.
- Referees/designated officials will be assigned for later rounds when available.
- Up to 3 minutes warm-up before each match.
- One 1-minute timeout per team per game.
- Head-to-head result
- Point differential
- Total points scored
- Coin toss
- Tournament balls will be provided.
- Players must provide their own paddles.
- Players must be present when their match is called.
- A grace period of up to 5 minutes may be granted.
- Failure to appear may result in forfeiture.
- Respect opponents, officials, volunteers, and spectators.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in warnings, point penalties, or disqualification.
Weather Disclaimer
The Tournament Organizing Committee reserves the right to delay, suspend, reschedule, relocate, or cancel any match due to adverse weather or unsafe court conditions. Every reasonable effort will be made to complete the tournament as scheduled; however, the safety of players, officials, and spectators will always be the top priority.
Any decisions regarding match schedules, shortened formats, or cancellations due to weather will be made solely by the Tournament Committee and shall be final and binding. No protests or appeals regarding weather-related decisions will be entertained.
- GRAMAM EC has final authority on rule interpretations and tournament decisions.
