10 doubles teams across two competitive groups sorted alphabetically. Each team plays 4 round-robin matches within their group. The Winner and Runner-up from Group A and Group B advance directly to the Semifinals.

Tournament Rules & Official Doc

Official guidelines governing match scheduling, qualification, scoring and dispute resolution

1. Group Stage & Round Robin

The tournament features 10 doubles teams partitioned into two groups of 5: Group A and Group B. Each team plays every other team in their group once (total 4 matches per team).

2. Qualification Criteria

The Winner (1st place) and Runner-up (2nd place) from each group automatically qualify for the single-elimination Semifinals.

3. Semifinals & Finals Matchups

Match 1 (SF1): Winner of Group A vs. Runner-up of Group B
Match 2 (SF2): Winner of Group B vs. Runner-up of Group A
Grand Finals: Winner of Semifinal 1 vs. Winner of Semifinal 2

4. Standings & Points System

Teams are awarded 2 Points for a Win and 0 Points for a Loss. In the event of a tie in points, the ranking order is determined by:

Head-to-head match result between tied teams
Game Difference (Total Games Won minus Total Games Lost)
Total Games Won across all group matches

5. Match Coordination & Score Reporting

Matches are self-scheduled between teams within the tournament duration window (Aug 23 – Sep 23, 2026). Score reporting is via the tournament WhatsApp group immediately after match completion.

6. Partner Substitution Policy

A player cannot change his partner if the team already played a match. All pairings remain locked once a team's tournament matches commence.

7. Sportsmanship & Court Etiquette

Standard USTA tennis doubles etiquette applies. Non-marking tennis shoes are required. In case of unresolved disputes, the GRAMAM Sports Committee’s ruling is final.
