Onam is more than just a festival; it is a heartwarming journey back to our roots, celebrating happiness, peace, and rich harvest. GRAMAM (Greater Richmond Association of Malayalees) has curated a beautiful array of traditional experiences to make you feel right at home in Richmond, Virginia.

From the aromatic spices of our meticulously curated Grand Onasadhya to the energetic rhythmic beats of Shinkari Melam, our celebration captures the true, authentic cultural soul of Kerala.

Program Highlights

Traditional Onasadhya

The grand vegetarian feast served on authentic plantain leaves, featuring over 20+ signature payasams and curries.

Floral Pookalam

Graceful floral patterns laid out in colorful arrays to welcome the righteous legendary King Mahabali.

Cultural Stage Performances

Beautiful Group Thiruvathiras, traditional folk dances, elegant classical music, and interactive skits.

Maveli Reception

Experience a traditional and joyous welcome of our legendary King Mahabali on his annual visit.
